Guest guest
Dear , The service sounds as if it was lovely. I'm sure you are filled with grief. I can't imagine the emotions you are feeling. Please know that your friends are always here. Today will be a solemn day for you but I'm very glad to read that you saw many people who came to support and comfort you. Try to just rest now as much as you can. Your turn is just about here and we all know that all your loved ones are celebrating. Alice
Guest guest
Wow! your service did sound beautiful! The snow made me think of my brother's memorial 4 years ago when it rained the day of the service in fact it rained the areas in which we all live and that's all over the u s and that was simotaniously I always found that odd but also cool the service for your mom does sound very nice though > OT: Mother's Service >Hi everyone, >I just returned from my mother's service and it was absolutely beautiful!! >In celebration of Christmas, we had a lighted tree and played her favorite >carols. >The day was special in so many ways -- I saw family and friends I haven't >seen since childhood and was able to renew old friendships with those I had >lost touch with over the years. So many wonderful memories and thoughts >were shared today which brought me comfort. >Although I had a heavy heart today, I also felt at peace. I could feel my >mother's presence and love -- almost as if her own arms were wrapped >around me. >My mother always loved Christmas and the winter season. Last >night an inch of snow fell on the ground, so the ambience was just perfect!! >Today I will spend time alone to grieve. Tomorrow it's time for me to start >thinking about my own journey. At this moment I'm feeling so many different >emotions -- excitement, fear, grief... Despite this, I know I must continue >on for there are better days ahead. <smile > >Surgery date: 12/22/04 (2 days and counting!) >Activation date: 1/18/05 >Deafblind/Postlingual >BTE hearing aid user 19 years >Severe-profound hearing loss 9 1/2 years >
