Guest guest
Hi Lee, I pick up accents very easily with my implant. And even people who think they don't HAVE an accent, generally admit where they are from. My implant surgeon pronounced a few words differently, and I said, " Where are you from? " He said he was born and raised in Ohio. I said, " You know, you sound just like the guys who do the Bob commercials " Would you believe he was born in the town where Bob farm is located. The original town, Gallipolis, OH right on the border of W. Va. He was always amazed that I could pick out regional accents. Silly talent, but still there. Saw the Dr. today when I was back at the hospital, he waved, so I said something in Dutch to him, and he smiled. Nucleus Volunteer So I said that it sounds like he learned English as a second language from a British person, but his native tongue would be either German or Dutch. hmm,, trying to be like Professor Higgin in " my fair lady " ???? remember at the start of movie at the opera house?
