My frustration is somewhat similar to Lee. I would appreciate if people

would write their responses at the top of the email. When using the screen

reader as a blind person, I am repeatedly hearing " Down arrow, down arrow,

down arrow " in my effort to locate the message. Please type your message at

the beginning of the email. Thanks. Alice, how are you doing?

One reason I don't top-post is because I'm trying to follow netiquette

rules. If you google " top posting netiquette " you get many hits on

this subject. The net of it is, trim stuff you are quoting to a

mininum. Here's a link to this topic:

I hate the fact don't give me more control over posting,

they wrap lines at inappropriate breaks in their website and make it

hard to trim properly.

Now this is interesting. I wonder how many people actually practice thiis

particular form of 'netiquette'. I am a sort of geek, and am online a lot,

have been for years. Belong to many sites, forums, lists and groups, plus

have a group of my own on MSN. I always 'top-post'. That way the reply is

right above the message that you're replying to. Just seems easier for

eyeryone, stops the infernal, endless scrolling. And, if you're on groups

or lists where people are using JAWS or some other program for the blind,

top-posting really helps them.

Jeff,

Have you tried email Stripper? This may be a solution for you. On

every on-line forum I belong to, they post at the top. If the

visually impaired users request we reply at the top then I think we

should accommodate them.
