Guest guest Posted May 17, 2007 Report Share Posted May 17, 2007 Hi Everyone: Had my second mapping today and the 6 week appt with my surgeon. Dr Balkany said everything was going perfectly! My audi, Adam, gave me a word and sentence test after putting in the program for the second mapping. I scored 87% on the words and 80% on the sentence testing. He said that was excellent since I have only had the CI for a week (and 2 days). I was really excited about those test results! Oh, I discovered telecoil (thanks !!). I actually used it on the way home from my appt. A work colleague () called and asked me something. I did not hear him great, but I could understand him. called me again a little later and I used the telecoil a second time. I am really looking forward to using it as it is much easier to understand people that with my HA. Can't wait till the 3rd mapping. That's when I will get Beam, and the other programs.
