Hi everyone!

According to my surgeon, surgery went very, very well. Recovery yesterday

started out great. I awoke with no pain or nausea. The only symptoms I

noticed were tinnitus, a sore neck, dry mouth and dizziness whenever I moved

my head. Later in the afternoon I started to develop a headache which

gradually turned into a migraine (which I think was caused by the tightness

of my bandage).

Congratulations on your successful implant. Your comments bring up a question

(I'm considering getting an implant.)

My wife and I run a " Mom & Pop " business that takes me into a lot of people's

homes. If I'm TOTALLY unable to hear (I barely can now.) during the six weeks

convalescence, pre-adjusting, period of time following the operation, that will

just about destroy our business. And THAT . . . would just about destroy our

retirement.

So - my question is . . . how likely is it that I will still have what little

hearing I now have after the operation and implantation? Will it affect the

hearing in my other ear at all?

Thanks in advance for all your replies.

DC

Hey , good to see you back! Good girl, you done good. Now I do not

expect to see much of you for awhile, doctor's orders, get some rest! I

have been taking care of the mochas for you, one yesterday, one today. Not

to worry, I can handle this.

Talk to you when you talk to me, ok? LOL
