The left ear shut > down on me right after the cold. This is the same one that went deaf on you a few weeks ago? I guess the fact that the tubes brought some hearing back is a good sign. Maybe it needs to be reinstalled to drain the ear again. It probably got washed or blown out during your cold. >We will see on the 2nd. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Guest guest
OK.. I am a fan of Dogma and a reluctant fan of Jay & Silent Bob (I was soooooooooooo extremely offended by Jay's conversation to CLIT). I thought Chasing Amy was OK. Is the quiet one? said it was " Jay " in the Freddie vs movie. Guest guest
> was soooooooooooo extremely offended by Jay's conversation to CLIT). They're not on the web site, but the store had C.L.I.T. t-shirts. > Is the quiet one? Yep, he's Silent Bob " , aka The Tubby One. He admits it, and last year a doctor put him on Xenical when he went for a ENT consult (Of course *every* illness we have is blamed on our fat cells, even men's.) He wrote a few on-line columns about how awful the stuff was, then never wrote of it again until he complained his 4 year old daughter Harley inherited the short and stubby genes from him, not the tall slender genes of her mother, and will probably be on Xenical, herself, before too long, especially now that the family is living in California. > said it was " Jay " in the Freddie vs movie. I didn't know they appeared in that movie! How I *have* to see it when it comes on DVD! The duo appeared in Scream 3 in character, too, and right now can be seen on TV doing ads for some Panasonic camera and a car. Jay, Mewes, is the blond. *He* is the one with the foul mouth and heavy drug addiction, both in the movies and real life, and just came out of rehab in late September. All he's done since Jay & Silent Bob strike Back are a few one-liners in various indy films. Sue in NJ

Guest guest
Hi , That is really sad that you went without hearing aids as a child because your parents were not able to afford them. You'd think that a government would work it out that if they pay to rehabilitate children that it would lead to lower social costs in the long run generally speaking (although in your case you've done really well!) I grew up in the UK which was quite the other extreme at the time. In the early 1970s all our hearing aids were completely free for every man woman and child. It's not like that anymore as they cannot sustain the cost of doing that but I believe that children and the less well off still get their hearing aids free. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Kozlik Sent: Tuesday, 3 January 2006 3:10 PM Subject: Gayle - Postlingual Hi Gayle, Hopefully Beth or another list member will correct me if I'm wrong, but the term postlingual means a child or adult lost their hearing after the time of speech and language acquisition. (age 3 or later) I was diagnosed with mild hearing loss at age 3, but didn't wear hearing aids until age 15 for a moderately-severe loss. Doctors recommended hearing aids and ear surgery at age 3, but since my parents' health insurance would not cover this cost (for reasons I do not know), I didn't receive my first pair of hearing aids until 12 years later. Since newborns were not given hearing screenings in the late 60's/early 70's, the audiologists I've worked with in the past think my hearing loss may be congenital. At any rate, I consider myself lucky that my loss was only mild -- especially in lieu of blindness. Guest guest
Weight loss is good, I am not losing real fast, but that is okay. I have lost about 14 lbs since my fill. I have been having problems with my left shoulder so I went to an Ortho Dr. in Little Rock and and he said I have Burcitis in in. So he gave me a Cortizone injection and sent my Blood Suger thru the roof for a couple of days, but it is back down to normal and I probably could get completley off my meds but I have a fear of my sugars going back up, so i will stay on my 1/2 a pill till I get a few more pounds off. You know what really ticks me off though? I can now shop in the regular clothes and everything looks like maternity clothes! I sure don't want to wear clothes like that now! Another NSV I have been wearing my wedding ring and a anversary ring on my middle fingers for about 6 months now and I think I am finally going to have to go and get the things resized they are really getting loose on that finger now. I can pretty much get together most any night just let me know. Good hearing from you! Re: [Dr-Aceves-bandster s] ((( ))) and (((Everyone) )) Hi , , Cyrena, Bipley, and Everyone! How are you all? Guest guest
Hello Everyone! So good to catch up with you. I am flying to San Diego this Saturday and meeting up with by band buddy, Joanna Abbott. We are driving down to Mexicali on Sunday for check ups. We plan on having a good old band reunion with soup! We will either get fills or unfills. Both of us are having some pb episodes--that calls for a look see under fluro. My band has only 4 cc and I am about 21 months out and have lost 40 pounds. I have had no juice in my band to speak of since Christmas. I can't seem to get past the acid reflux and pb episodes. I get better and then it starts up again. Enough about me! Rena, you sound so good and I am so proud of you. Sounds like Jim is dealing with the "head" thing. He is a southerner and God knows we love food, don't we? , I have had Burcitis in my shoulder before and it was the most painful thing I have ever lived through. I lightened my purse and gave up on the brief case. Swinging the arm like an elephant's trunk on a side to side basis was one of my exercises--also, the whirlpool tub was a big help at night. I hope it improves quickly. The cortizone and steroids helped heal me, took away my wrinkles, too--but only temporarily. I hear you about the Missy clothes. I went shopping last weekend and bought tops that reminded me of my pregnancies, too! All the best! Guest guest
Hey , Yes the pain in my shoulder has been horrible! But it is getting better now. I just still have to be carefull when I am taking off my shirt, that seems to be when it hurts the worse. I told my daughter I didn't lose this weight to wear clothes that made me look pregnant! YUK! Fortunately I work in a very relaxed atmosphere and I usually just wear capri's and a T-Shirt. Re: [Dr-Aceves-bandster s] ((( ))) and (((Everyone) )) Hi , , Cyrena, Bipley, and Everyone! Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like you will be having a fun time down Mexicali way! I hope all goes well and you enjoy your visit as much as I did in June! I also hope the reflux and PB episodes get dealt with and you find that elusive sweet spot we all hope for. It seemed to work for me when I finally had fluoro and could actually see how much fluid could go down. I do believe, though, that many factors affect our stoma and everyday things can change due to H20 retention, stress, TOM, allergies, etc., etc. The sweet spot is just approximate and we fluctuate around it! I have not had a fill since first part of June of 2007 and have held my own or lost during that time. Right now I am hoping I'm on a small losing streak! Maybe about 5 lbs. and I'll be happy. Best wishes to you and Jo. Hopefully you can do a little shopping and get in one of those massages is talking about! Maybe get a handbag from that lady related to the Sunday driver......
