Guest guest
Happy New Year!!! Many of you will be watching the Rose Bowl Parade this morning. Just thought I'd mention that 2007 is Oklahoma's Centennial year and is debuting in impressive style with lots to hear with our bionic ears! Oklahoma will be showcasing two spectacular floats - one led by the Express Clydesdales - and performances by Tony Award winner Chenoweth, the Centennial All Star Band and OKC University's American Spirit Dancers...and a special guest appearance by Miss America Berry (from Tulsa, OK). I hear that it's a big deal for Oklahoma to have not one, but two floats in the Rose Parade. No other entity has ever done that. Watch for other surprises from the floats! Check out the Rose Bowl Parade this morning! And don't forget, HLAA (formerly SHHH) will be holding our 2007 Convention in Oklahoma City. We are a beautiful city and there will be lots of things to entertain you and your family before, during & after the convention! There will be many workshops and events. We hope to have tours before and after the convention and a night at the baseball park. The Triple A Red Hawks are home while the convention is in town. We have a really great, revived downtown area...lot's of nightlife! Most of these places are within walking distance of the hotels and convention center. Prices are really reasonable here in OKC! And check out the registration info for the HLAA convention June 21 - 24. Early bird registration ends January 31. Here are some links for the organization and Oklahoma City. http://www.hearingl oss.org/index. asp http://www.hearingl oss.org/convention/2007regpacks. asp http://www.hearingl oss.org/donation s/index.asp http://www.national cowboymuseum. org Please join me in supporting Hearing Loss Association of America and the 2007 HLAA Convention in Oklahoma City. Remember... " OKLAHOMA!!....where the wind comes sweeping down the plain... " Have a wonderful 2007! Hugs- Shari
