Guest guest
Larry, could you tell us about your trade in? Was it a BTE? Didn't you or your insurance company still have to pay quite a bit for the upgrade? I've been informed that Medicare will pay nothing on purchase of an upgraded processor. I'm trying to get the audio clinic to gather necessary items my insurance company says they must have along with a claim to even bother to check to see if they'll approve it or not. All they could tell me is that it is not on a list of undenied items. BUT, they went on to say that not being on the list is not to say that it will or will not be denied. (how frustrating!) Guest guest
Larry, I thought you could only trade in your 3G if it was unopened and new in the box. Apparently I will have to discuss this further with my audi. If I'm able to upgrade my 3G to the Freedom, just imagine how excited I'll be!! Guest guest
, I asked this off list but your Inbox must be overflowing. LOL If you got the upgrade letter, log into the upgrade site and see for yourself that yes you can indeed trade in your 3G. It will list the trade in value as well. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. -- & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
>>Didn't you or your insurance company still have to pay quite a bit for the upgrade?<< I would also like to know the answer to this question. It is my understanding that even if you trade in your 3G, you're still responsible for the difference in cost since the upgrade isn't free. Guest guest
, You are a very popular girl huh? (grins back atcha) Let me know what you find out. You can stop the order process at any point and it will be there next time you log in. So you can go there, and get to the trade in section. Cochlear will list all the processors you have and each will list its trade in value. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* It's all about the bitches. --The American Kennel Club & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
-- You can trade in your used 3G for your freedom and pay a small fee after the trade in. They also have financing available... Did you get 2 freedoms when you went bilateral? If you did-- why don't you use your 2nd Freedom as the freedom for the left ear and then use your 3Gs as backups? Guest guest
Snoopy, Thanks for this information! Right now I'm trying to decide if it would be less expensive to trade in my 3G vs. getting a different controller for my Freedom. (I need to purchase a different controller since my Freedoms are different from the ones that are currently being distributed.) The information I read indicated that a new controller would cost around $1,000.
