Guest guest
The baby is due November 14....I think we are naming him Theodore and will call him Ted. He will be my little Teddy Bear. Big news in our house today. Sara, my non-Ds twin, came and pulled me into the bathroom this morning and pooped in the potty! Hooray. Not to " brag " but my kids are the easiest to train. When Quinn was 3, I was putting his diaper on one morning and he said it was too hot for diapers and he hasn't worn one since-day or night! He's never even had one accident (knock on wood). Quinn-4, Sara and Maggie-20 months, and ONE on the way
Guest guest
I don't want to sell Maggie short, but I doubt she will be ready for the potty for a little while. Sara hates hates hates her diaper to be dirty...Maggie could care less. I should haul her in there when Sara is sitting on the toilet though. She does imitate almost everything Sara does. How was potty training with the other kids on the list? I have a friend with a 4 year old with Ds and he shows no comprehension of the toilet and what to do with it. But I hope it does go that way for you esp with a brand new baby coming!! I would love to hear how Maggie follows in Sara's footsteps! I've never heard of a child with Ds going " on time " with potty training! I plan on doing the twins together, I'll have to see what Tara thinks of that?? Guest guest
Hi , Welcome back and glad you are enjoying your new home. Related to potty training! My Sara (DS) is 5-1/2 and we have still not been successful with potty training. She will go in the potty if I do a song and dance or have a motivator, like taking a doll and even then it is sometimes a power struggle. She will never initiate on her own to go, except right before she gets into the bathtub, so I guess that is a start--it amazes me, because she is so bright in so many areas; Maybe I don't dislike pull-ups enough to really work with her or maybe I'm just not sure how to work with her, because my two boys trained so easily. Anyway, as I have said before all of our children are so unique that you with younger ones than Sara may be totally successful with potty training at a much younger age--keep me informed as to what works! Guest guest
My daughter was potty trained by the time she turned three. My son Isaiah will be 4 in September, and he's just barely catching on. Luck for us, he only goes pee twice a day so we can pretty much know when to sit him on the toilet and he'll go. He been dry during the night for almost a year. I think we are starting to make progress. mom to Jess and Isaiah both have DS Re: Welcome back ! > I don't want to sell Maggie short, but I doubt she will be ready for the > potty for a little while. Guest guest
Fins clapping, tips of tail running across the bottom of the ocean, suddenly tips hit hidden rock, down goes Dolly Dolphin flat on her stomach and beaks hitting the sandy floor. Now one fin under chin and one fin tapping the sandy floor. Now back onto tip tail, brushing off the sand. Grabbing a large banner, quickly wrote words on it, then swim quickly to the top of the ocean and toward to sky, waving the banner for to read: WELCOME BACK ROBERT!!
