Hello All, I was surprised and delighted to see little

on the front page star. She has grown and

changed so much since that picture was taken!

Our story ... We noticed the flattening on her right

side at about 3 months. There was also facial

asymmetry. At her 4 month check up the pediatrician

recommended repositioning for 2 months and that we

should see much improvement by her 6 month check up.

Well, we didn't see any improvements with

repositioning. It was such a stressful 2 months.

After the 6 month checkup we began the process to get

the DOC band. That process was uneventful and

received her FIRST band on Feb. 12th at 7.5 months

old. We saw lots of improvement fast and she outgrew

the band in 10 or 11 weeks. Then came the dilemma ...

to reband or not. After serious thought and support

from this board, we decided to get the second band.

I'm glad we did. looks great now. She still

has some flatness on that right side but hopefully

that will continue to " fill in " . I'll have to say

that I have not seen any improvement with that area

since she finished DOC therapy on August 2 but I still

have hope! Sometimes when she is very sleepy one eye

appears smaller than the other. This is the only time

I can see any facial asymmetry. Have any of you

noticed this? ended up wearing her bands just

shy of 6 months and a few days after her first

birthday. For those of you just getting started with

band therapy, I promise that the time will fly by and

it will be a distant memory before you know it.

That's our story! Not too different from many of you.

Thanks for listening!

B, Charlotte

Hanna does this too! I'll never know if it's because of the plagio or hereditary tho, as I do the same thing! ;o)

Kendra, That's very interesting. In our case, I'm thinking it's the

plagio causing the " sleepy " eye. I'd love to hear from any others

that have noticed this! Anyone else???
