Guest guest
Carol, when I used the vibrator I put it under my mattress, it always stayed there and it always woke me up. I like it, I no longer depend on a alarm clock to wake me but if I do have to get up early that's what I use. Patsy
Guest guest
Carol (in WI) put it in the pillowcase (under your pillow). It stays good there. Happy Hearing! I have used it for years to wake up. Somehow the vibrating alarms don't wake me " from the dead " of sleep the way the rude awakening of bright light in my face does! When I travel I do use the Sonic Boom travel vibrating alarm clock. It is pretty " hit or miss " with me, cuz I have on occasion lost it off the bed during the night. Lots of good for it to vibrate on the floor!!! (smirk) I don't do this often, but if I am really tired while traveling, I have left my CI on and had the hotel ring me on the phone. In addition to this, I have the vibrating travel alarm, and open the drapes for the morning light as well. Sometimes all of these have failed me....go figure! Guest guest
Hi Carol (in FL) Yes - I've learned to tuck it into the pillow case and clip it in good. That seems to help a bit! Guest guest
I too put my vibrator under my mattress. Boy does it get my heart going to orbit everytime. When I travel, I used the Shake A Wake as it is small, light and you can put it into your carry on bag. Dolly Dolphin

Guest guest
I'm backreading so post I missed again so this is late. Just wanted to share what I do that works for me. I had the habit of rolling over away from the vibrating alarm to catch a few more minutes and I've been late for work too many times. Putting it in my pillowcase didn't work for me. Now I have two Sonic Boom alarm clocks. I put them in socks and pin the socks to the back of my pillow, one pin at the toes of the socks and the other above the vibrator, spaced about 9 to 12 inches apart. That way, they stay put. So now if the right one doesn't get me, the left one will. Guest guest
Sharon That is interesting. I'll definitely have to try your sock trick. I have placed my shake awake in my pillow and it's been reliable. I take it out and hit the snooze in the morning to go just a tad bit more. Is that possible with the socks at all? Guest guest
Kim, Just the vibrators are in the socks and the clocks are next to my bed (cords run under my pillow to the clock). I have the Sonic Boom Alarms. I'm one of those people that like to hit the snooze button until the last possible minute unless it is vacation time. LOL That's why I had to get two clocks. I always rolled over or pushed it away from me and never felt the second time it went off. Now if I roll over another one is waiting. I can't push them away anymore unless I push the whole pillow away. I remember the first time I tried it out. I do not hear anything while I am sleeping without my CI's. I didn't know what to set the volume on so my husband could get me up in case I didn't waken. I had it set on full volume. The next morning, when the clock went off, he jumped up on his knees in the middle of the bed looking around to see what all that racket was. His eyes were big as saucers. That is one morning I didn't hit the snooze but I did learn to turn the volume down. I thought it was funny, he didn't. Guest guest
LOL, Sharon. I loved the story about the alarm and your husband. I wear bedclothes so I clip my ShakeAwake to the upper part at the neck opening and put the alarm inside next to my skin. It can't get away from me. I tried the pillow and missed a few awakenings. It doesn't bother me. When I roll over it just slides to the low side and stays next to me. 'Working fine so far. Virg
