Guest guest
good morning Jim and , I love the positive attitude of this group. When I have become down and out and wondering if my new implant will really work out, there is always someone to lend encouragement and answer any questions. In my old hearing aid days, if I wanted lower frequencies, I also sacrificed understanding by knocking out the highs. Would happen with the Freedom? That might be a question more appropriate for my audiologist, but just wonder what your input would be on that question. Even if I knocked out the shrillness on my CI, (I have been told by several people it would probably go away naturally) I would still have my 3G to compensate for it. I will probably leave it alone and tell them to adjust the T and C levels. have a rewarding day Larry Jim and hearing > HI Jim, > You could hear yourself drop somthing on a paper plate. Guest guest
Hi Larry, It was nice to hear from you. I have the Nucleus Freedom, however I have only been activated for a little over one month now. I don't think your problem with the hearing aid would be a problem with the Freedom since it has multiple elctrodes. I'm not an audiologist, but I would think your audiologist could adjust the appropriate electrodes without sacrificing the higher frequency electrodes.
