Guest guest
Lou Ann, I can't give you any feedback on your problem, but wanted to let you know. We are from the same location. My name is Curtis Tanner from Gainesville, Ga. I attended some SHHH meetings with you after you were implanted. I was inplanted with the Freedom on Oct.6, 2005, activated Oct. 16 at Northside Hoapital, my sergon is Steenerson. Two of my electrodes didn't work from the beginning. With 22 electrodes I am doing exceptionally well. At three months I scored 100% on sentance recination and 86% on words. I am 1000% happy with my decision to go CI, only wish I had done it sooner. I wish you luck on what ever decision you make. ( I believe I would go with the Freedom in the other ear.) Please if you wish e-mail me pereonaly to share more. Curtis Tanner from Ga. Guest guest
Hi Lou Ann, I am here for the same reason trying to get more information about bilateral implants. My son has a ci and I would like to give him another. So far everyone in this group has been supportive and have talked WONDERFUL about bilateral implants so I think they are making my decision alot easier. Good luck to you. Keep me posted on what you do! alice <alice@...> wrote: > Thank you, Alice. > > My name is Lou Ann Whelchel. I live in Florence, KY across the Ohio River > from Cincinnati, OH.
