,

I visited with a couple CI friends, we had first met on another forum in

1999 before I got my CI. It was a good trip and definitely not a quiet one,

the birds never shut their yaps. LOL Long flights tho, not easy for

Dreamer but she done good.

Flew from Portland to Vancouver then from there to Toronto. Security

was ok tho still confusing because they are always changing things so you

dont know what to expect. The flights between Vancouver and Toronto was 5

hours but the whole day was spent in transit, about 12 hours or so. Customs

was ok too.

Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars and a

substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents.

Alice

Welcome Back!! I would love to come help you unpack boxes but I would

have to bring two little kids that would probably drive you crazy!

New Mexico is lucky to have you back! You did a lot of awesome things

there with the HLAA. I know many of us in Region 7 HLAA will be

thrilled to have you back with us. Are you coming to the convention?

Glad security and customs were okay. Did you have to have a passport or were

a birth certificate and ID sufficient? When I used to fly to either Montreal

or Calgary it usually was an all day trip. Many years ago my parents and I

flew from Montreal to Calgary, and for some reason I cannot remember the

flight turned out to be much longer than expected. We all were starving and

received our meal hours later (9 PM), and my parents and I ended up sharing

our food with my dog guide because his food was in the baggage below. After

that I always carried his food in my carry-on bag no matter the flight

schedule.

Hi Kim,

I'm really excited to be back but wish I had the powers of

these days as the boxes are somewhat overwhelming. We might be able

to park two cars in the garage by the holidays. <grin>

This year, I have not made plans to attend the convention. There's

just too much going on here. I would have been able to drive there

from Savannah as it's about 3 hours away but now we've just gotten

here and I feel that it's too soon to head east. I've decided to

pass on this until next year.

Thanks for offering to come to NM to help unpack. It's about 100

degrees here today and supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Funny though,

I don't feel the heat here as much as I did in Savannah. The

humidity change really does make quite a difference.

Errrr, well, I dunno. Figured you were way east anyways. Next time!

Dunno when that will be tho. Actually, I want to visit B.C. You plan to go

there someday?

Am I thinking of of Bewitched?!? I think my nephew could use her powers

also. <grins> Anyways I do prefer the dry heat any time over the humid heat. we

have had high humidity for the last week or so. It is good to see you back on

the list. You are well missed by all of us for sure. IF you are not unpacked by

the balloon fiesta we might just take you up on that offer.

Dry heat? No way...... that's when the fires start. I get those " red flag

alerts " from weather on the computer. That sure scares me.

missed!! <smile>

, how about we share a mocha while I finish reading weeks of e-mail?

Then we can go to Alice's unpack the boxes party -- especially if there is

plenty of Coca Cola Classic around. <hint hint> LOL!

Are you volunteering me to help unpack Alice's boxes? LOL Well....

But I will take that mocha. Weeks of emails? Are you ever going to

catch up? You have a lot to answer for, young lady. (snickers)

Hi Alice

Drink plenty of water in that heat - WHEW!! That's HOT.

How precious that has so much energy! Keep her busy and

those boxes will quickly disappear.

So nice to have you back with us on the list; next time let us know

and we will just pass those boxes across the state lines for ya
