Guest guest
Hi Ted, I am not , I am sure she is much better looking than I am... You are partly right about ADRO, it does automatically adjust sound levels, except it is more complex then Auto Sensitivity, with ADRO it actually will adjust different pitches by a different amounts where Auto Sensitivity will adjust the entire spectrum up or down equally. I guess the way I understand it is if you are at a concert as in 's example it would raise the volume of softer sounds and lower the volume of louder sounds at the same time to give a better balance, kind of leveling things out, where as AutoSensitivity will raise or lower everything the same amount, they both have practical application and you just need to experiment and learn which is better for you in various situations. Guest guest
Thanks Mike. I have an experimental phase coming up then :-) Ted F. > > Hi Ted, > > I am not , I am sure she is much better looking than I am... > > You are partly right about ADRO, it does automatically adjust sound > levels, except it is more complex then Auto Sensitivity, with ADRO it > actually will adjust different pitches by a different amounts where > Auto Sensitivity will adjust the entire spectrum up or down equally. Guest guest
Hi, About ADRO - I really want to like this setting, but it seems to drown out as much sound as auto sensitivity does, for me, anyway. What I did was have my audi map " adro " a bit louder than my open maps (which I use most often) and that seems to help in restaurants and noisy places sometimes. For my next mapping, I will ask him to map the adro 2 or 3 " clicks " louder because I just feel the program is gonna' be terrific once we get the settings right. It's trial and error. Don't be shy about asking. It takes one second for the audi to make a few changes that might make all the difference to you. I hope this helps. ) Jackie
Guest guest
Jake, I am not sure exactly what you mean. I do know that I never felt that Adro was much help to me. However, my audi recently put the Adro with Autosensitivity smart sound on one of my programs and I find that I do like that. Call or email your audi. They are usually really good about trying to help their patients. Happy Hearing! I can notice some difference between Adro in Smartsound1 and the updated version of Adro in Smartsound2. I think Adro1 with autosense would be optimal for me in many circumstances. Has anybody else noticed any difference between Adro1 and Adro2. Is it possible to still get Adro1 programmed in Smartsound2?
Guest guest
I had very good use of Adro1. With it I could many times hear in noisy situations even without autosense because it was much more _focused_. Now I think Adro2 is more like the open programs making it almost useless. To be sure I will consultate my audie to see if there are other adjustments that can make it to work better.
