Guest guest
Ted, Have you tried tweaking your map a slight bit to reduce the power usage? *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Speak softly and own a big, mean Doberman. -- Dave Miliman & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
(Its , I am , not Bob. LOL) You can tweak any map at any time at the audie's office. In cases where the map has a high power draw, sometimes it can be tweaked down just a bit without too much impact and get more battery life. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* I was in the first submarine. Guest guest
Nope, Ted, even in the land of OZ, headphones, whether they be intefaced with the CI via DAI or Telecoil, will not affect battery life at all. Honest! Save me fron the proof. unless you insist.. <G> Bob ................. > Re: Electricians/ /Cin OT > > > I'm on the 2400 speed and when they do the mapping they told me that I > will get about 22 hours out of three batteries. Guest guest
Bob and Ted, Actually, I do believe that Ted is right. The more you crank up the CI the more power it has to use. When my batteries are about to croak, and its not convenient for me to change them, and I can do it safely, I turn the CI down a bit to keep it alive longer. It works. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks. & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
Dear ( with hair) <G> Interjected.. For sure again BUT, whether access is via DAI or Telecoll via whatever ALD, the battery life will not be directly impacted. The battery load in all CIs is in feed to the headpiece, in a modulated FM signal, onward to implanted electronics! Trust in me on this, just as you do President Bush..... Guest guest
Humidity, and the amount of noise " listened to " can affect the battery life, too. So, if you're in a humid climate, or do a lot of exercising that works up a sweat while wearing the CI, the batteries might not last as long as usual, too. Re: Electricians/ /Cin OT Proof not required, Bob. I'll take your word for it. It just seems like they dont last as long. It must be the Down Under factor ;-) Ted F. > > Nope, Ted, even in the land of OZ, headphones, whether they be > intefaced with the CI via DAI or Telecoil, will not affect battery > life at all. > > Honest!
