Thanks for the information! At this point, I'm willing to give anything a

try! I've already eliminated salt and caffeine (with the exception of

mochas...I can't eliminate them, now can I?) from my diet to no

avail.

My CI surgeon said there is no medical treatment for tinnitus, so I just

might give the lemon bioflavanoids a try just to see if it makes any

difference.

Having said that, my tinnitus has improved greatly over the past several

weeks. Wouldn't you know it? Just when I see my CI surgeon to discuss my

tinnitus, that's when it calms down. LOL!

That peppermint mocha sure sounds delicious! I think I'll have one myself!

, care to join me?

My surgeon recommended ginko biloba for tinnitus. I take it daily

(whatever the smallest amount is), and you can buy it at drug stores.

Remember chocolate has caffeine in it, so candy, or anything else with

chocolate will have caffeine. I figure it's one of the food groups

(along with restaurant, carry out and fast food), so eat it anyway.

Do you feel the gingko biloba has helped with your

tinnitus? I have a friend, non hard of hearing (well

now he is but he was not at the time he was struggling

with tinnitus) and he took gingko I'm not sure how

much or what brand, and he said it helped his tinnitus

immensely. I've been thinking to try it myself.

Good! Now I have two options! Hopefully the lemon bioflavanoids or the ginko

biloba will work. If I notice *any* reduction in my tinnitus, I'll be happy!

As for chocolate (with the exception of Reese's peanut butter cups -- I

can't resist those!), I have to keep it out of my house. If I don't, it's

gone in 24 hours. LOL!

Coffee is the worst offender when it comes to caffeine. Wait, no, Red

Bull is THE worst. But then who is going to drink straight caffeine? LOL

, I know you cannot handle chocolate. I remember. (snickers)

When in doubt, um...

Hi Deb,

For the amount of caffeine I consume, via candy, I should have roaring

tinnitus all the time. The fact that I don't might well be due to taking

ginko biloba.

Since nobody seems sure what causes tinnitus or what cures it, and the

evidence for ginko is anecdotal, I still figure it couldn't hurt to try

in the smallest amount they have out there. What have you got to lose?

Hi, All,

I've " heard " that ginko biloba is also good for retaining memory. Lots

of people are using " natural " products and herbs and get excellent results.

Please, though, if you are on ANY perscription medications, check with your

doctor before using. Just like mixing your perscription drugs, and some DON'T

mix, one or more of your perscriptions may not allow you to use some of the

homeopathic stuff in combination. Ok? Thanks! <smiles>
