She only wore one band, our othotist didn't suggest us getting her a 2nd band. Basically because of her age (she was 15.5 mos at graduation) she didn't feel we'd get any addt'l significant improvement, esp. with the way Abby's growing had really stopped. And even though the band she had still had room left for her to grow into, CT didn't feel that band would be effective after 4.5 mos so we stopped. CT believes that after 4-4.5 mos in a band, the pressure points lose their effectiveness (or something like that!). I didn't push for a 2nd band either, esp. becuz at that point Abby had been in a band for 8 mos as she wore a STARband for 3 mos prior to the DOCband that did not help her head. So I was honestly sick of it at that point. The decision is up to you - see what CT suggests and go from there. And I've also heard Canada can be strict with getting these bands, so that might play into your decision as well. Your the mommy & you know whats best for .
