SAN DIEGO COCHLEAR IMPLANT GROUP

Saturday November 11th, 2006

Thanksgiving meeting

10 am – 12 pm

What is a truly wonderful gift you can give to someone? The gift of

hearing of course!

To learn more about this intriguing concept please join us in

welcoming Dr. Fayad from the House Ear Institute. The title of his

lecture will be " Why You Should Donate Your Temporal Bones " .

Dr. Fayad presently works in private practice at the House Ear

Clinic. Dr. Fayad received his medical degree and otolaryngology

residency in Toulouse France. He completed a residency in

Otolaryngology at Columbia-Pres. Med. Center in N.Y. followed by a

Fellowship in Otology/Neurotology at the House Ear Clinic.

Dr. Fayad's research is extensive, including electrode placement

with cochlear implants, auditory brainstem implants and analysis of

temporal bones with cochlear implants.

Following our guest speaker, we will break for refreshments then

hear from two inspiring individuals and learn how their journey into

the CI world has changed their lives for the better.

Please bring your favorite cookies, bars or seasonal breads to share!

Parents…bring the kiddos. This is a family meeting! We will have a

table in the back with crafts for the kids to do.

** A special thanks to Tim Harding for providing CART for our

chapter meetings and the ribs for the September picnic! It was a

huge success!!

The meeting will be held at:

Children's Hospital, Medical Office Building

(MOB) Room 113 (1st Floor)

3030 Children's Way, San Diego, Ca 92123
