Go to the manufacturer's website and put your zip code in. They will

tell you who does implants in your area. Cochlear's website is

www.cochlear.com

And there is a section called, " Find a clinic " . Easy as that.

But, yes, get evaluated first before you waste time trying to make a

choice, figure out which ear and then find out you don't need an implant.

So do things in the right order. FIND out if you are a candidate. Then

research the various devices.

Hi Folks.

I've been skulking around <smile>, reading every post

but have not responded nor asked any questions. Been

trying to get my feet wet in the world of CI. I'm just

beginning my journey into CI research, not even tested

for candadicy as yet. Well, all that " hiding " is

over!!

I read a post stating that the best way to start is to

visit web sites of a few different centers. That

sounds like great advice, I'd do that if I was just

shopping for a used car. I gotta do my homework. Sure

could use some help from you Pro Folk.

I live in the Raleigh NC area (a transplant from NYC).

Does anyone know local, or even lond-distance (I can

travel, easily) places I should contact. Thanks in

advance. You Guys/Gals Rock!!
