Guest guest
EMPTY promise? Kim, you are totally wrong and you and Advanced Bionics should apologize for this paragraph. I personally know 2 people who are already using the Freedom processor for the N24C. The wait at this point is for the FDA to finally approve and we all know how long they can take! Don't worry folks, it's definitely coming! It is an EMPTY promise that the Freedom will be available for the N24. It's not available presently; are you aware of a release date or N24 users in a trial with it? Kim Advanced Bionics
Guest guest
Well, , I know you are right about the people testing the Freedom for the N24, but I am not sure it even requires an FDA approval . According to my audie (yours also?) the processor is exactly the same, just the software program is somewhat different . And the delay is because of getting sufficient stock. But, yes, it is coming. Guest guest
The 2 people who are using it love it. I don't have any more details right now but I will endeavor to find out. Guest guest
Whoa, now, that sounds like someone wants to start a war here, coming from an AB'er. Kim, how do you figure its an empty promise when you need to remember that the 3G which was designed for the N24, was made compatible with the N22? Got any solid evidence to back up this, errr, empty " empty promise " opinion that you probably now wished you had not put on this forum? Tsk tsk... And of course we wont know the release date until its been FDA approved. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* I just got skylights put in my place. The people who live above me are furious. & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
Appologize for AB? I'm not sure I understand why? Just because I am a happy AB CI user? Should not also appologize for the comments she makes in regards to the AB device? Do I not have the freedom to express myself here? I just have not heard of a single person until I made the post that has a Freedom on an N24 device. Do these individuals post about their experiences? Kim > > EMPTY promise? Guest guest
There is no need to be so competitive please. It reminds me of when kids say " I am better than you " , etc. Please respect each other. Thanks! Anneliese
Guest guest
Boy was I laughing when I read 's email! My daughter's Freedom failed and we were told that it would take SIX weeks to be replaced by Cochlear. We had to use our center's loaner as we do not get a second processor with our insurance coverage. Lo and Behold the one we got from Cochlear was also defective! So maybe the FDA does have to approve everything - but that does not provide a quality item by any means! Oh and what I find interesting is that our center's audiologist thinks it was due to moisture! I thought it was moisture resistant and was one reason why we chose the device. So please do not try to tell me that Cochlear does not rush to the market or has the best product! I don't buy it! ine
Guest guest
ine, Another angle to look at here is, at least you do not need surgery to replace defective processors. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* The below sentence is True.
