Guest guest
Hi Gilad, Thanks for updating us on your surgery. I'm glad it went well but sorry to hear that you've been very tired. Is that a common side effect? I guess your body is probably healing and these things take time. All the best with your activation - you must be looking very forward to it. Surgery 9th June 2006 _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of gil_borisovsky Sent: Saturday, 29 April 2006 4:28 AM Subject: Postoperation Hello everyone, How are you all doing? I hope everything is going fine for everyone, those who are implanted and activated and those who are going through activation these days. It's truly an important step in our lives and I'm just about to go through it myself. It's been almost 3 weeks since I last posted before my surgery which took place on April 10th. The surgery went well, but the aftermath was what prevented me from writing ever since. I had almost no side- effects apart from loss of balance. The worse side-effect I experienced was the tiredness. Its onset began about 3 nights postoperation and I am still experiencing it, even though things improve for the better with everyday that passes. I have even returned to school after the 16-day Passover holiday we had, but decided to listen to my body and take my time. That's why I didn't go to more than 4 hours of classes on any day. With time, patience and God's help I will return to myself. In the meantime I am awaiting my activation on May 8th with greatest enthusiasm. I know I might not like the implant at first and will have difficulties adapting to it, but it will at least be the first step towards a better hearing. I definitely hope everything will proceed smoothly and well. I would like to take advantage of this opportunity and thank you all cordially for the kindest words you have sent me before my operation. It touched my heart and provided me with strength to go through this experience. Your support has been so wonderful and I'm very thankful for being part of this forum. God bless you all! I wish you all a nice weekend ahead, many God's blessings and a better hearign for us all. Take care! Sincerely, Gilad Implant: HiRes 90K Implanted: April 10th, 2006 Activation: May 8th, 2006
