Hi Sheila

congratulations on your surgery ... the worst is over with as you said

post-op for everyone is a little different my first CI i remember the

horrible deep pain i too was dizzy but i did notice each day this dizziness

was less and less the first week i had to walk with my hands touching

walls to navigate around my house by the second week i was so much better

i know the restless feeling sitting down i felt good and could just

imagine going out and enjoying a ride around but just walking i knew i

needed a little more time

it sounds to me you are doing great .... just give yourself time to heal

again congratulations

Hi to Sheila, your experience was very similar to mine. I think that I was

released too soon. I threw up all the way home from the hospital and most

of the night.. I was also dizzy for about three days and was glad that the

walls of my hall way were close enough to together to keep me from falling

but the dizziness did go away. Actually I had no pain and didn't have to

have any stitches or staples to be taken out.,. I was given a large bottle

of Tylenol but never needed even one. I sleep on my right side and the

implant was on my left so had no problem sleeping after the nausea went

away!

I am glad it is all behind you now!

wow Sheila. We had surgery the same day but with different results. I am

still taking the pain pills but down to just 3 a day. No trouble with

taste, no dizziness, just a little woozy when I got up. I have been

feeling antsy and so went and got my hair washed and to the grocery store

for some stuff today. Made dinner and had a friend that came by to walk

the dog over to share it. Friend that is staying with me is now doing the

clean up. At least my throat is feeling better and I was able to eat

something besides almost all liquid meals. Tylenol doesn't do anything for

me so will just stick to the pain pills. Monday stitches come out and

Tuesday back to work :>

HI Sheila,

Congrats on your implant surgery! Sorry to hear you had to throw up so

much; some people are more sensitive to the anesthesia than others. At this

point I would say don't stress the dizziness. Get plenty of rest and venture

out

as far as you can go. Be gentle and patient with yourself. I'm sure the

dizziness will subside soon. I wan't back to my old self until a full 10 days

after the surgery.
