{Fraud?} Re: LIFE!!!

I LOVE my CURVES!!! (LOL) I used every excuse in the books to not

go. It wasn't a convenient location. I wouldn't/couldn't pick up

my son on time. Who would have hubby's dinner ready when he got

home (my requirement, not his). The hours aren't right for me...

Did I mention NOT a convenient location? Well, God listens to

whining too! I'd procrastinated almost a year when BAM! I get a

postcard in the mail for a new CURVES location less than 1/2 a mile

from my house! No joke, I can see it from my back deck!!! Well, I

can see all the way across the SF Bay from my deck but this was only

about 4 block away... I called the day I got the postcard and made

an appointment to check it out. I joined that day - 9/29/04 and

have been faithful ever since. Let me tell you, it was tough

getting into a new routine and even tougher to go after putting in 8

hours at work but I'd finally decided I was worth spending time on

and I stuck with it. The weight loss didn't happen for me but the

inches flew off, so in July of 2005 I scheduled my surgery and had

it 3 weeks later. It was my 50th birthday gift to myself (and to my

guys too, indirectly).

This year we'll be going to camping in Yellowstone for my birthday

in (hopefully) size 16 clothes!!! Maybe even size 14??? I look back

on this surgery with NOTHING but happy memories and fabulous

experiences.

Congratulations on moving your surgery up a day. I also had my

surgery the day I arrived. We drove down to Oceanside on Wednesday

after work - dropped Ethan at his grandparents - and met Ernesto as

San Diego airport at 9 am. We, my hubby & I, were the only ones he

was picking up that day. We arrived at Almater just after 11 am and

I was in surgery between 3 & 3:30pm. My surgery lasted just 24

minutes! Dr. A. said I was in " good shape and had a skinny liver! "
