Guest guest
Hi , It's Dana here. I just read a post you sent to Molly. I was wondering if you were talking about the drinking/eating rules? If so, and you haven't had a fill yet, don't even worry about the rules. If you have creamy liquids like a protein shake, cream soup or yogurt it is only going to stay in your pouch for so long then drain into your big tummy. So... after 3o-45 minutes its long gone. I never even thought about the rules until my first fill, even then I drank up until I decided to eat then about an hour later, would sip on coffee or tea. I have always had a drink with me prior to this surgery and still do except for a little while after eating. If I have had a " heavy " food (like meat or bread, pasta) then drinking to soon " hurts " and the sliming starts. In closing, I think 30 min before a meal is more than enough time, and a hour- hour 1/2 should be long enough after a meal to start drinking. This is " my modified version " only though, talk with Nina or use the minimum times on the rules list. Being hungry, or thirsty isn't a good thing:( Good luck.....
