Sorry that it's not related to Clarion, but I've been corresponding with a

woman in Russia whose daughter had a CI surgery last December, and she needs

help. Her daughter's implant was inserted fine, I think, but the problem is

that her incision wouldn't be healed properly - they even had to make

stitches to her incision once more as some of the incision wouldn't close

properly. Another problem is that some of her skin around the incision was

accidentially burned (?) and needs transplant (?). How can it be burned

during the CI surgery?? I wonder if such thing happened to others - I don't

remember hearing of it from others myself.. I was shocked to read all this

and asked her if her surgeon could help her - I mean it's his responsibility

to solve the problem. She said their surgeon was trying to help but he had

little experience with CIs so was " experimenting " .. Experimenting! Maybe

it's different over there in Russia than here, but still I can't believe

it.. Since her daughter has a Nucleus device, I asked some people I know at

Cochlear if they knew any Russian rep to help them out, but they wouldn't

reply. I feel bad for them and don't know whom else I could ask to help

them. Any info is appreciated.
