Guest guest
My date is coming up in about a week and I'm really nervous. I keep wanting to put it off, a week, a month, 3 months. I keep thinking " well, maybe there is a way to do this without this surgery " . Of course, in 45 years I haven't been able to do it. I'm pretty confused about a number of things. When I met with the doctor, he said 10 days on clear liguids, 10 days yogurts type foods, 10 days of creamed soups, mushy foods, etc. I'm seeing however two weeks for each of these phases in the instructions. Also, I had understood that I would be able to eat between 1-1 1/2 cups of food at a meal. Some of you are claiming 2-3 bites. I am more than willing at this point to eat a whole lot less. But I'm not willing to give up almost all food altogether. I love fine foods and fine dining. I'd love to know a bit more from some of you. (I am a female in my 50's, in the low 200's with about 85-95 lbs to lose.) Also, I'm in the midst of a pretty large project, and planning to be back to work within 4-5 days of the surgery (I work at home). Am I being foolish or over optimisitc? Also, I live in the Palm Springs, CA area. I saw a post from e , who lives in my area and was just recently banded. e, if you're out there - maybe we could be of some support to each other?
