Guest guest
I was banded on Sept 14...the first week or so I lost 5 lbs, then sat there for a couple of days, then started gaining it back!!! So I told myself that the scale is my worst enemy, that I would only weigh once a week from now on (very hard to do by the way), but by this point I was actually scared of it!!! Well, I started walking and went back on the clear liquid diet, just like straight out of the hospital. Much to my discust, I got on the scale this morning and weigh actually 4 pounds more than I did before the band!!! Now I am really down. I have done everything by the book, yet I'm still being tortured by that da... scale!!! I am not getting close to my " cycle " as I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago, it's not water gain, because I take a rx water pill every day, What's a person to do??? I know I'm supposed to be healing not loosing, but gaining??? this is unacceptable!!! Miserable in Miramonte...Jeanie 246/250/135 P.S. Would my hrt (hormone replacement thereapy) have anything to do with it?? and if so, why did I loose 5 pounds at first only to gain it back? I was taken off oxycodone and put on a patch for pain (tramadol) which I change every 3 days. I started back on the Welbutrin after Dr. A pulled me off of it in prep for the surgery. At this point I am actually crying.
