Hi Everyone. I wanted to give you an update on my progress so far.

Dr. R performed a 6' bypass in Vegas on 2/14. I am a 38yr. male, and

my pre-op weight was 290lbs. Today I weight 267 lbs. -33lbs so far.

That is just not too bad for 1 month. Ha ha.

Overall, I feel good now. I did have a period between week 2 and 3

that I became fatigued easily. I increased my salt intake and started

my supplements, and it seems to have taken care of the problem because

I have felt great this week. The supplement & Post-op med regimen was

difficult for me to remember at first...(( Men don't like to slow down

and take the needed time )) but I think I finally have it in my head

what I need to do. I am beginning to figure out which foods I can

tolerate for now and which ones need to be left for awhile longer. I

am thrilled to be out of Stage I & 2 as I am a picky eater where

textures are concerned. So it is good to begin to have some choices

again.

No one could have prepared me & my wife for the " SMELL FACTOR " .. But I

am learning new creative ways to deal with it as best as possible.

It is hard for me to see the changes in myself so much at this point.

I can tell my pants are baggy and my shirts are definitely bigger, but

other people are beginning to notice now. That is great to hear, and

my wife tells me that I am her " Sexy Beast " . Ha ha..

I will keep you posted as time goes on. Thanks to all of you for your

insight, answers to questions, and posts. I don't post often, but my

wife and I read the board almost daily.
