Guest guest
It's funny, how in my searches one leads to another, with the next one found being connected to the previous one... in some way. Here's a mom to be, preggo with twins and one might be an lp, of what type they are not sure. They have already given names for them, Noah and Barrett, with Barrett being the possible lp. I don't think any of their friends are known by any of us as well. http://nateandnikkibonham.wordpress.com/2010/05/02/praying-for-noah-and-barrett/ ------------ 3 books on height, 2 of which are on the shorter side of life... in other words, like ours:P. Hint, hint, the 1st and 3rd ones listed, tho the 3rd one, I guess, you could say is a combo, half on us. http://roxxyandjake.blogspot.com/2010/04/too-short-and-too-tall.html The 1st one: " Walking tall when you're not tall at all " Author: Schwartz Publisher: New York : Rb Flash Point, 2010. Edition/Format: Book : Biography : Secondary (senior high) school : English : 1st ed " Takes a look at the marketing, psychology, and mythology behind the obsession with height, revealing that being short does not have to be a disadvantage. " & The 3rd: " The heights, the depths, and everything in between " Author: Sally Nemeth Publisher: New York : Alfred A. Knopf, ©2006. Edition/Format: Book : Elementary and junior high school : Fiction : English : 1st edView all editions and formats Summary: In 1977, best friends Lucy Small, a seventh grader from Wilmington, Delaware, who is five feet ten inches tall, and Jake Little, a dwarf, try unsuccessfully to go unnoticed during their first year of junior high school. It's the 1970s, and Lucy can't imagine anything worse than being a giant with the last name of Small . . . unless it's entering junior high: a whole new set of kids with the same old jokes. Even worse, her dad has headed out of town to " find himself. " At least she still has Jake, the friend she's been with since forever. And when school begins, they get each other through everything, from the humiliation of stinking at basketball (Lucy) to the agonies of Mom's new boyfriend (Jake). Then Jake starts hanging out with resident bad boy Geary. Lucy can't help worrying about Jake, but somehow her heart races every time looks her in the eye. Despite everything, Lucy and Jake know they can count on each other . . . until their friendship is tested in an unexpected way. Will they be able to stick together? Or is junior high when things change for good? This fastpaced, entertaining, humorous story about friendship and loyalty vividly captures the highs and lows of growing up. " ------------------------------ " Dwarfed Height, Big Heart " Meet Talitha, no pic. http://studentvoicesu.wordpress.com/2010/05/04/dwarfed-height-big-heart/ ------ I think the following is a continuous reality(?) show, kinda, I think, but more on the harder reality of those portrayed but nonetheless real, I'm guessing. It's called, Me and My Mum, and is in the UK on the BBC 3. An upcoming episode or more than one episode(?) has an lp mum with an lp teen (female) named, Jazz, who in one episode goes looking for her average sized dad. To me, it seems to be kinda sad, but hey, it's prolly more real than most so called reality shows out there, so who knows, it might have redeeming qualities too. It supppose to re-start this summer, and Jazz and her mum is to be in one of them. Excerpt: " Small Teen Big World " (title tbc) Being a teenager is tough, but for Jazz it's even harder, because she has an undiagnosed form of dwarfism and is smaller than an average 7 year old. Small Teen Big World tells the story of the close relationship between Jazz and her mum Bev, who has the same condition. Starting with home video footage of when Bev was pregnant, this documentary follows mother and daughter through moving house and attempting to track down Jazz's average-sized father, but everything, including plans to celebrate Jazz's 16th birthday, come to a halt when Bev ends up in hospital. http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/comingup/my-mum-and-me/ ----------------------------------------------- ~grady
