Guest guest
I agree with Kendra!! CT SCAN!!! I hate to put doubt in any mom's mind but doctors don't know it all. As most of you know Leigha did have cranio but we went through months of 6 peditricians telling us Leigha's head was fine it would just round out once she could sit up. Then at 5 mths old when her anterior fontanel was barly the size of a dime we were told that sometimes it was normal for the fontenel to close early and lets just keep an eye on it. No test, no x-rays, and plenty of people in my family telling me that Leigha was fine that her head wasn't that awckward. I don't know if it will turn out cranio or turn up nothing Debbie but please push for a CT scan! Sometimes doctors like to think they know it all and presume if they can't quite put their finger on it then it probably is nothing. Believe better safe than sorry!!! Hugs and prayers that all it is is cranio. Mel > Debbie: > I hate to spark the worry in a Mommy (it's soooo easy to do!!! ;o) but I just want you to be sure. The wording of your post piqued my " CT scan " instinct!! ;o) > Hanna didn't have any tests done either, and we too went thru the " does she have cranio " thoughts, but seeing as we did she changes in her head shape thru therapy, and she showed all of the " classic " signs of plagio, I'm sure she's just fine! It's simply a mother's prerogative to be a worry wart (and to push for answers and concrete evidence if needed to settle the mind!) > Let us know what you find out! ) > Kendra in Canada > www.plagiocephaly.org/support/ > Plagiocephaly/join > http://geocities.com/kendraandhanna/ > ----- Original Message ----- > From: dhands1@h... > Plagiocephaly@y... > Sent: Saturday, September 08, 2001 1:42 PM > Subject: Re: Kendall's ortho appt. - fontanels > > > > > What makes you say the fontanelles are closed?
