Guest guest
I saw that. One of the children isn't autistic, so it can't be solely attributed to vaccines. Many things bothered me about that particultar show. ~Robyn bluheron wrote: > Anyone watch Extreme Makeover where they build houses for families. Guest guest
Why would one child that isn't autistic mean that it didn't come from vaccines? What that means to me, is that that child is as harmed by them as his siblings. And no kidding. After like the third child wouldn't you be asking " WTF? " Re: Extreme Makeover I saw that. Guest guest
I agree...... Just like all kids, some are prone to being harmed, and that is why some kids are and some are not, if I remember right, they said that they seemed normal then they developed signs, like right after the shots maybe?! Just sad... Western NY -- Re: Extreme Makeover Why would one child that isn't autistic mean that it didn't come from vaccines? Guest guest
That's so true, but most people are so busy with their " normal " daily lives,it does not occur to them to question, " why " ? that and the fact that of course the doctors would not do anything to harm anyone, they just wanna help. Yeah right... Re: Extreme Makeover I saw that. One of the children isn't autistic, so it can't be solely attributed to vaccines. Guest guest
I don't know if this is the same family but I did see something a while back about a family with like 6 kids and the 5 younger ones were all autistic... coincidently, the oldest was old enough to have NOT had the MMR... it wasn't out or wasn't mandatory at the time when she was the age to receive it. Yeah, I think after a few of your kids became autistic, you'd be like, WTF??? Hello??? Nah, can't be the vaccines... must be genetic... because we all have autistic aunts and uncles and grandparents in our family tree, huh? (yes, sarcasm) Perhaps, their family may have a genetic weakness and the vaccines overloaded their systems... I don't know... Guest guest
IN all honesty, I think this is Darwin's theory in action. These autistic people will likely not have kids, and we end up culling quite a few from society, don't we. Harsh, but it's the way I'm leaning! Guest guest
you know, i was watching that show last night too and thought the whole time, " do they ever think that it's the vaccines " that caused their children to be this way. I am just curious to see what/if any vaccines the last child had because she seems fine. stephanie Alison <alison73@...> wrote: I don't know if this is the same family but I did see something a while back about a family with like 6 kids and the 5 younger ones were all autistic... coincidently, the oldest was old enough to have NOT had the MMR... it wasn't out or wasn't mandatory at the time when she was the age to receive it. Guest guest
What roils my blood is that there is no thing as a genetic epidemic, yet every dumbass in America wants to talk about how autism is genetic and that it's just a condition and we should accept it and move on. How short sighted and lame is that! Yes, I accept the individuals. But, no, I don't want to " move on " I want to stop it! Environmental factors are at fault here too -- as is the piss poor objects that we call FOOD~! Re: Extreme Makeover I saw that. Guest guest
**** Not related to your question, but my husband works for this builder here in town, Texas. We went to a screening before it aired and as soon as the segment regarding autism began he looked over at me with " don't even start " written all over his face. Guest guest
, I saw the show too and was beyond appauled at those people. It is heart breaking and ignorant some people are. And you are not alone, my husband has to reel me in all the time when it comes to keeping my mouth shut about people who have kids that have been destroyed and they are totally oblivious. Keep up the good fight. > > **** Not related to your question, but my husband works for this > builder here in town, Texas. Guest guest
Last night the show " Extreme Makeover " had shown a family who has done foster care for 250 kids over the years. They have two biological boys, twin girls with alcohol fetal syndrome they adopted, along with an 8 year old boy with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Their home was very small and not accessible to Jake, the little boy. My husband, Luke, father in law and I had the wonderful opportunity to watch this episode. Luke and I do not have cable and we were visiting his step-dad. We normally do not watch this show, but Jake caught our eyes and our hearts. This episode was wonderful!!! Jake was so cute and very outspoken. He and his family needed a new home, not only for accessibility purposes, but also to enlarge their home for their growing family. This episode they were focusing on how they were heros. Not the children with disabilities, but the family who helps care for other children with disabilities who need foster care. The show was focusing around independence, unity and love within the family and community alike. Jake not only was had a lot of spunk, but very loud to make sure he was heard! He has a really good attitude! Has anyone has seen this episode? What was your intake on this? ~ a
Guest guest
I saw part of the show but I marvelled at it all, including the main story of the Grys' and their having helped others in the past too:). Still, my being a guy, I guess, perhaps, hehe, what caught my attention as much, was the gadgets and improvisations for Jake, like wow! It did make me wonder though if those things are currently available to all lps (and other physically challenged people as well), or were a few of them made on the spot, so to speak, by the innovative thinking of the designers on Extreme Home Makeover right then? Maybe most, if not all, of those 'creative contraptions', for lack of a better phrase:P, will be made to all of us and the places where we can purchase them, so that we can implement them in our homes as well:). ~grady
