OMG, can anyone say TIRED? Well got to have the

weekend off of her band. We started in Friday night

with a temp all of the sudden of about 103, that rose

to 104.5 that night. After battling it all night, and

hardly no sleep, because she won't let you put her

down, her temp was down to 100/101. Only to rise again

Saturday night with a bark of a cough. Talk about

tired. For those of you with two or more babies, my

hats off too you. Not in my wildest imagination could

I handle two sick babies. One about did me and her

daddy in. She got her band on for about 8 hours

Saturday and about the same on Sunday. It's on now,

but she now has a cold/red inner ears from this virus,

and it's now bacterial, so we've started her on

Augmentin. We did get to sleep a bit last night, but

I was grouchy as heck everytime she squeeked. Was up

again at 3am for medicine and a bottle, put her down

in the crib after that, first time all weekend, and

fell asleep only to drag my butt awake to go to work.

Grandma is with her today, and possibly tomorrow,

we'll see how she feels. Bands back on, and I felt

guilty for taking it off for so long. I hope we

didn't have any growth during the weekend.

Kelli,

Yikes!! What an ordeal. Glad to hear that things seem to be smoothing out.

Don't worry about having the band off. If her body was busy fighting an

infection I doubt it would be growing too much!

This motherhood thing is HARD work. It's like having two full-time jobs!!

Hi Kelli

So sorry to hear that poor has croup - it really is an awful illness -

just a little idea for you incase she gets bad again (you probably know this

anyway) put her in a steamy bathroom or a very humid area - it helps open

the airway and makes it easier for them to breath - as cruop actually

constricts the windpipe which is why the cough sounds like a barking dog -

if she gets what they call " stridor " which is where she finds it hard to

draw in a breath try to keep her as calm as possible as the more scared she

gets the worse she becomes - I hope she gets better soon - Croup is truly

awful - used to get it very bad when he was really little

Hugs to and to her tired mom

Kelli,

I'm so sorry to hear that was sick, sounds like you had a rough

few days there! I hope by now she is feeling better and you are a

bit more rested. When you get a chance, let us know how your little

cutie is doing.

She's doing great! Because of a little redness in her

ears when we went in for the croup (something they

DON'T give antibotics for), they did give us some

Augmentin. So the little cough that lingered after

the croup virus stopped is now being taken care of.

She's still a little off, but sleeping through the

night again.... YIPEEEEE.
