Guest guest
, I do chew chew chew….Believe me I don’t want to throw up (which I do when I try to eat meat) As for me eating past 20 minutes. Even if it takes me longer than 20 minutes to eat I measure me a CUP of food and that is ALL I eat so I don’t really see where it hurts for it to take me an Hour to eat. That is ALL I eat. I do not eat anything else once that cup is gone until the next Meal no matter how hungry I get. Beans/rice is a decent choice for me because I need the protein they provide. Again I fix my meal in a “measuring cup” and only get 1 cup of food. I have a liver condition that I have to be really picky about which proteins I am getting. As far as restriction…..yes I have plenty. If I stopped eating in 20 minutes I would only have About 3-4 bites of food in my pouch. I HAVE tried different meats. When they make me throw up I don’t eat them again. However with Tuna I have tried several times because it is one of the proteins I have been advised to eat. I also take an extra calcium and a daily multi vitamin.(have for years)…my concern is the nutrition from the FOOD. I am NOT defeating the purpose of the band. Like you said everyone is different. Salad fixings I cut up extremely small. The fact that they are not getting stuck proves that my CHEWING is sufficient.
