Guest guest
I suggest getting a copy of _Healing Fibroids_ by Warshowsky and Oumano. Excellent book. The authors maintain that fibroids can be shrunk to inconcequential size without surgery using things like diet, exercise and meditation.Fibroids also will shrink on their own at menopause if she can make it that long. (Which at 37 is still a long way off.) Also my ob/gyn told me that fibroids are also a symptom of surpressed creative energy in Chinese medicine. So if your daughter has some unfulfilled creative desire like painting or gardening or having children, one of the best things she can do for the fibroids is find a way to address that desire: start sketching, get a flower box, volunteer with a children's organization, etc. -Robin (owner of one under control fibroid tumor.) Guest guest
I really recommend 50mg day of Lugols. One tab of kelp is nothing. You need to take a therapeutic dose to get well. Gracia Hello! I'm a relatively new member here with a question about fibroids. I have been taking a kelp tablet a day for several years, and a drop of lugols every other day for a month, in hopes of balancing hormones and overcoming subclinical thyroid/adrenal issues. I have some fibroids, not huge, just enought to be a pain in the rear (LOL). So, here I am, beginning my iodine supplementation program slowly and I have found that my fibroids are sending some medium shooting pains up. I'm thinking that it may be my body is working on them (healing crisis?)...What are the supplementation levels recommended for fibroids? Does it hurt when your body starts getting rid of them? Do they resorb, pass or what? Anyone have any other suggestions? (progesterone cream, higher levels of iodine?) I'm also taking cod liver oil, small amounts of maca, raw adrenal... Guest guest
Hi Gracia! Thanks for the recommendation. I wonder, how do you measure 50 mg of lugols? A calibrated dropper? A certain number of drops? Even though 1 little kelp tablet daily for several years doesn’t sound like much, it has been enough to bring up my basal temp about 1 degree. (I have very little goitrogen exposure due to a WAPF lifestyle). I’m thinking my thyroid needs didn’t leave any leftover iodine for other organs such as the uterus. So, I agree with you, a therapeutic dose might get me over these fibroids. After just 7 drops of lugols over 2 weeks all my tiny hand warts disappeared. I’d like to see the same thing happen to my fibroids! Re: fibroids I really recommend 50mg day of Lugols. One tab of kelp is nothing. You need to take a therapeutic dose to get well. Gracia Hello! Guest guest
It sounds like toxins are being pushed out to the surface (probably halides like bromide and fluoride). This is a good thing as when you see skin issues it means that there is deeper healing going on. Keep going. Steph Fibroids Hi Steph,I started taking one lugols pill a day and using 8 drops of Lugols drops vaginally for my fibroids. (I had some removed through a myomectomy (SP) about 8 years ago and 2 grew back.) The other day I started douching with it, and my scar developed a rather large zit which is now resolving. What do you think this is and should I stop? Thanks.
Guest guest
Thanks Steph. I eat un brominated flour when I do eat bread and now drink unclorinated water. Overall....I am a very healthy person, but for fibroids. Run, do yoga, lift weights. So this kind o irritates me that these fibroids appear. BTW, you ARE an awsome person for taking it upon yourself to get this site going. Thank you so much for standing out and helping everyone. Guest guest
I eat gluten free bread that I bake, organic foods and have a full house water filtration system with R/O water. I am excreting 62 ug/L of bromide as of my last test. Where did I get all of that? I have no idea. I think we are exposed more than we know. Bromide is a flame retardant in carpets, mattresses, computers, cars and more. I don't think it is what we eat any longer but what touches our skin and what we breath in. That is much harder to protect against. Thank you for your encouraging words. I enjoy helping others get well. Guest guest
, Great....I am a network engineer...always touching computers etc.! I have read a book recently by a Dr. Natasha McBride for the Gut and Psychology Syndrome, and she is a neurologist and went back to school for a Masters in Nutrition. She is in the UK and HAD (key word) a son with Autism. It goes into great detail about several ailments she atributes to nutrition and the environment. She believes in Juicing and reincerting good gut flora. I think she in Dr. Browstein should get together because his ideas on iodine might help with the detoxing of some of her patients. You should read it. It is free on Scribd. I learned alot from her. Guest guest
I have the book and attended her all day seminar at the Weston Price conf in San Francisco last Nov. She was awesome. I think she is a gastroenterologist though. I need to read her book because my son is classic according to her symptoms. He was c-section, not nursed long, too many antibiotics, poor gut, Gluten intolerant, now dairy and egg allergy. This summer he is my project for foods and healing. Yep - I was a computer consultant too. Steph Fibroids Hi Steph,I started taking one lugols pill a day and using 8 drops of Lugols drops vaginally for my fibroids.
