Guest guest
Hi, You asked if you should get 2 BWP, 2 BTE, or 1 of each. Since Jaxon has the Clarion and I have heard that the BTE is exactly the same as the BWP in terms of how it runs the programs, I would say get 2 BTE if you think your child can handle it's small size. If not then one of each so that when he gets a little older he will appreciate the small size of the BTE. When people ask this about the Nucleus processor, I always say get one of each because the BTE is a different processor than the BWP and I say more options are better. Guest guest
FWIW, I preferred CIS and running as fast as possible and the BTE could not deliver that...glad I had one of each, because there was an obvious difference in the quality of sound. I also would tend to agree with Lee about the harness, but lots of parents seem to think the BTE is better since there are no long cables to deal with. I would also definitely make sure your homeowner's policy covered loss or get supplemental coverage to cover replacement. Debra

But not all of us have the ability to get two. I will only be able to get one and I am getting the BTE as I have always worn two BTE HA's and don't want to fuss with a cord. susan & hobbes michigan implant 2/23/
