As goofy as that sounds, I've found that it works quite well in public places. Here's how it works. You already know what it feels like when you rub the sore spot or tap on the KC point and you already know what it feels like to tap on the various points. So just imagine rubbing/tapping on those points as you go through the affirmation statement and reminder phrase. Oh, and you don't have to say it out loud, just think it. What I've found is that I can actually feel the tapping even though my hands are nowhere near the point -- it's really quite interesting. My wife is usually the only one who knows what I'm up to because of of this 'thousand yard stare' I get when mentally tapping.
