Guest guest
My Dear Birdie, I am so sorry for your loss. Yet, we know that Layne, will no longer suffer. He is at peace now. I too am glad that you both met and have grown together in the last 3 years. Being able to support each other during a very trying time. Yet knowing, that you were both there for each other and he had you and His Mom and all the fellow members from AA. There was a reason you both met when you did. It is not over yet for you. You will go on and fight for those who cannot fight for them selves. I believe you have the strength to do this and Layne is your strength. Please keep coming here and you can e-mail me anytime you want. Please feel free to do that. I am here whenever you need me. Conflicting advice about this disease is par for the course because this disease is a conflict in it self. Keep searching for answers for yourself and your friends. This Internet is a wonderful world of information. Take comfort in knowing that Layne is no longer suffering. Take care, Irish

Guest guest
yesterday Tim wrote a little note to a friend, hope you are feeling better, love tim. I bought a little teddy, put them both in an envelope and sent them to the hospital where she was staying. Around the time I was posting the letter she was being lifted onto her mums lap, life support was being removed and her ventilator was switched off. A few minutes later she died after her family had said their goodbyes. She was just 8 years old. I told tim after school, I only heard this afternoon myself. he is more puzzled than anything, can't understand that she can't come back. We go get her, he said, she come back. When I said we can't get her, we can't see her anymore he asked 'you see tim?' So I said yes, I can see you. He said 'I'm alive, hallelujah'. Later he jumped up and down in excitement and said she not dead, she not dead. Its a hard lesson for an intellectually challenged child to deal with. The funeral is next monday, maybe he will understand a little better then. For those who pray please send one up for this little girls parents as they come to terms with this sudden loss after a short illness. sue wong
Guest guest
So am I sorry to hear about your nephew ..My prayers are with your family..Kathy -- Re: A Sad Day , Im so sorry to hear of your nephews passing, my prayers are with you and your family. Pat Re: Crippen Well thanks suzie, what a good story,I have never heard it. We had a Dr's wife here, also a Dr,that burnt their house down and killed two of their children in the fire, when they came running out of their house,Dr Green told them to go back in and stay there, they burned to death. What a crazy world,so glad I have a sane place to visit here. On a sad note,my sisters oldest son passed away a few hours ago after struggling with congestive heart failure. He had been on a ventilator for several days.
