Guest guest
I saw your comparison of the DOC, Starband, and NYC helmet. That is very helpful. I thought you might find this interesting though... I've been checking into the Cleveland and Chicago DOC clinics to decide where to go (we decided Chicago, although it is further away), and we learned something interesting about the Cleveland clinic. The orthotists/therapists there don't actually work for CT. They are independent. CT did train them in the use of band, but the clinic is not a CT clinic. Thought you might find that interesting. Guest guest
Thank you Debbie! We used an independent clinic as well. Our clinicians were employees of the Alberta Children's Hospital, who were trained by Cranial Technologies in Phoenix. Thanx for the info! ) Kendra in Canadawww.plagiocephaly.org/support/Plagiocephaly/joinhttp://geocities.com/kendraandhanna/ ----- Original Message ----- From: dhands1@... Guest guest
> ...same goes for the Burbank, California clinic. Sue > Though CTI does have some licensed centers--like the other CTI centers--they have all been thoroughly trained in using the DOC band and must all undergo the same quality and audit requirements. Guest guest
Debbie: Cranial Technologies, has 9 CTI Centers and 9 Licensed Centers. ALL of the therapists/orthotists have been trained by CTI and follow the DOC Band Protocols. We hold Continuing Education courses yearly and also do site reviews/audits that are the same for all Centers (CTI and Licensed.) We strive for the same level of patient care to be offered at all Centers providing the DOC Band. You will find some differences in Licensed vs CTI owned in regards to the hours of service/billing policies/etc. Sincerely Carol kson Cranial Technologies, Inc. 866-DOC-Band -- In Plagiocephaly@y..., dhands1@h... wrote: > I saw your comparison of the DOC, Starband, and NYC helmet. Guest guest
I didn't mean to imply in any way that the non-CTI centers offered different or substandard care at all. I just previously thought all centers were owned by CTI and found it interesting information that they weren't. That was all. I apologize if I offended anyone as it was not my intention. Our decision to go to the Chicago clinic was based on all of the wonderful stories I had heard, and not on anything negative about any other clinics. Guest guest
Debbie, No need to apologize! I thought it was interesting information as well - I did not know that either and I've been hanging around the plagio world for a year now!
