Hi all,

Just thought I would write to let everyone know that I am doing great!

I am now 3 mo. post op and loving life. I am down 45 pounds and from

a 26/28 top to a 20/22. Pants are from 26 to 20 and I couldn't be

happier! I posted some pictures of before and now--so hope that they

can be viewed. I'm new to this stuff so I'm not really sure that I

did it right! I have so enjoyed reading all the posts and especially

from Jenni C. You are an inspiration to me--your story simply amazes

me and I read it over and over again. Way to go on your weight loss

in just 6 short months! I had my first and only fill so far (1cc)on

Aug. 9th and I'm still learning everyday what foods I can and can't

eat! Potatoes are definitely out as well as bread and sometimes

chicken--way too dry! I go to a Dr. in sbluff, NE for my fills

and he is excellent. He had no problems finding my port and it isn't

done under flouro! I still have really good restriction or at least I

think I do! So many things seem to get stuck since my fill--it is

unreal. I haven't been able to decide yet if I'm eating the wrong

foods, or I'm just eating way too fast. I do know one thing for sure,

I hate the pain I get from stuck food! I thought that I had some pain

before my fill, but boy was I wrong. There's really nothing like that

feeling. I don't know about the rest of you bandsters, but I've heard

some talk of drinking while they eat, etc. Let me tell you---I can't

drink at all or I'm miserable. I tried it just to see if things went

down faster, and I don't think that's the case with me. So, needless

to say--I refuse to drink with my meals! I work in the school

cafeteria and since we've been back to school these last 2 weeks--I

have really struggled with the head hunger. I didn't really think it

would bother me, but it's a struggle everyday. The thing that helps

to keep me on the staight and narrow is the fact that it is so hot in

there, that I know I'll have to drink and want to be able to and I

can't if I eat! I have been walking everyday and once it gets too

cold outside--I have a gym membership that I will use--I think that

this exercise that I never felt like doing before has helped me in my

success this far and so I will continue to stay active! I wish all of

you bandsters every success on your journey to your ideal weight. I

am well on my way and life seems to get better everyday for me.

Hugs from WY,

Jen B.
