Guest guest
, DON'T push your band! The absolute worst thing you can do for your band is to be too tight. It can mess you up for a while and you do NOT want to go through that....TRUST ME! Because of a too tight banding incident, I had to have two rounds of IV fluids due to dehydration, I had to travel twice to Atlanta (from Mobile, AL...about a 6 hour drive) within a week to have two unfills which eventually drained my band of all saline so my stomach could heal. Work with your band for a while before making the decision to have another fill so soon. Remember, this isn't magic but it is a tool with which we all have to work with. Yes, you may be hungry but just take an inventory of what you are eating. Are you getting enough protein? Are you eating solid foods? Are you eating your foods in the suggested order? (Protein first, then veggies, then carbs) Are you drinking enough water? Look, I'm not trying to tell you what to do at all so don't misinterpret this message. There are plenty of us on here who have had fills that were too tight and we fully understand the consequences of that. Having a fill that is too tight is 100 times worse than having too little restriction. I needed my second fill (it was 5 months since my first one) so I don't regret having gone and having it done, I just wish he hadn't put so much saline in at that time. Just be careful and don't over do it! Keep us posted on your decision and how you are doing.
