Guest guest
: Once again you put the post out there for all to see and read and said it superbly. I have still not decided to take that plunge but may after I get back from Europe in November. I am still holding at the 130 mark lost and gained some back but lost it when I was sick so worked hard to keep it off. So far so good. I think you put into this post what most of us have felt many times. I too was asked to recommend the surgery to a few people by their loved ones and explained to them that I would be glad to share my experiences but they too would have to research and research and make their own decisions. My daughter now wants the MGB but her insurance BC BS of Florida will not pay anything. She does not want open but surely needs something. How is your family? Is your son still in school down here? I haven't heard from anyone in a long time. Is Flo still working with CLOS? Were you not working with them for a while? Oh yes, I must add that I have just recently started taking my vitamins and Citrusel again. I think that is why I have been able to keep that lost weight off. I do have to take B-12 shots monthly and will from now on. Most of the time I feel real good but like anyone my age I have slow days. No I'm not telling " My age " . Guest guest
It is SO good to hear from you Phylis. I am glad to hear you are maintaining 130 pound WL...that is AWESOME! I hope your daughter finds a way to have this surgery. I tell people all the time that it's a lot cheaper than a funeral and most people aren't insured for that either. (Did I mention that I HATE insurance companies?) Let's see to answer your questions. Sam is home this summer which is great. He is 20 and LOVES the University of Miami...he is still my biggest supporter for the MGB...He went OFF the other day telling me how ANGRY it makes him when he sees another STUPID story about how DANGEROUS and CRAZY it is to have by-pass surgery. He said, " why don't they come and talk to YOU, and all of YOUR friends...you are all doing GREAT....look at the LIFE you got back, Mom you are SO much happier....He was only 13 when I had the original MGB...same age as is now. He is doing well in school and still planning on being a PT. Will is 16 VERY 16. He is working at the company I work at this summer so that should be interesting for both of us. At least I am taking a month off...LOL is in Europe with his grandmother for 17 days. I miss him already and he just left. But he is having the time of his life. She takes each grandchild on a special trip that they plan together. They are going to England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. He wants his picture made in a kilt...we shall see... Flo is still with CLOS. She is coming down too and I will see her in Charlotte if all works out well and hopefully LIZ. Sounds like a reunion, doesn't it. (Trish it's not too late to hop a plane....) I have never worked for CLOS...send them patients for free....LOL Good to hear from you hang in there and talk to you soon. NANCY _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Skinnywannabe@...
