Yes, Sherry, it is who taps, HAS to have two things...one in each

hand......he taps his mouth with them, mostly toothbrushes......and then he

taps on the TV but only when it's on.......he HAS to have these tapping

implements and it's very hard to go anyplace without them, but we usually

talk him into it before we leave the house to go anywhere! It is sometimes

easier to just let him tap away than trying to grab the stuff away from him

and hear his wrath for hours.....actually, it's probably my fault he's still

doing it, as I kinda condone it because I get so tired of correcting him.....

It's like he's " driven " though....like an impulse or obsession.....how do you

correct a behavior when he can't help it that he's doing it?? I know this

because having OCD myself, there are some things that are hard for me to quit

doing...mostly, negative thinking and not the hand washing, rechecking locks

that seem to be typical OCD behaviors....

Thoughts?
