Hi everyone and especially newcomers,

I was just banded July 6th and everything went great. I met two

wonderful women, Kaileen and , Hi girls! I am so happy i

went forward with this surgery. I had so many friends and family who

tried to detour me. So far, i have lost 7 pounds in 3 days. I am

sure this is not the same for everyone. I am following the liquid

diet. Isopure is my friend. :) I am really big on making sure I

take my protein. I went out and bought the tasteless whey protein so

I can use it in my broth and anything elso I can think of. I have

had some pain. Gas ofcourse is definitly there. But also, my

stitches tend to bother me at times. I am not taking the liquid

tylenol Yolanda gave me before I left Mexicali though. I might start

taking it to see if it takes some of the discomfort away. My stomach

looks narley. It is bruised and swollen. I am taking preventative

blood thinners (3 days before the surgery, 3 days after) due to a

previous stroke I had 7 years ago, that could be the reason for the

bruising. My biggest fear at this point is, when I start the next

phases, and actualy begin to eat food, will the weight come back

before I get the fill. I am already becoming compulsive about

this. :) I do weigh myself every day. I like the new numbers I see

on my scale and it is such a motivator. I was 240 pounds going in

and am currently 233. I do suggest the extra underwear and pants, as

I had read on a previous post earlier. There have been moments when

I confused gas with the other and surprise, surprise! This surgery

and going to Dr. Aceves was the best experience. Everyone was so

nice and informative. My husband and I were very impressed. I have

already recommended it to many of my friends. I will post pictures

on here very soon. If anyone has any questions, please contact me, I

would be happy to help you if I can.
