Guest guest
> My set up is ET I'm addicted to tobacco.... and, after a round of This craving for tobacco I do a round with It's easier and easier to cut down my daily cigaretts to.... Good start. I'd just straight to " It's easier and easier to be a non-smoker, " rather than saying you are cutting down though. If you want to stop smoking, then you stop smoking. Cutting down is still smoking. ;-) Most of the cigarette habit is what you do with your hands. Moving them from the table where your smokes are waiting to getting one out, then finding matchers or lighter. Some people have really nice lighters too. Then lighting it, and finally taking that first drag. Ah, that's the one that's nice, isn't it? Why is it nice? Becaues you just completed the process. In fact, it's not unusual to actually light another smoke while one is burning in the ash tray. It's the ritual of it that keeps people hooked. The nicotine itself isn't doing you any favors and really it's more the deep breathing that gives relaxation. Try it without the smokes and you'll see, you get the same benefit. Just pretend to light a cigarette and then take nice big deep drags on the imaginary smoke. How often do you take a pull on the cig? Take a nice deep breath that often. Once you try that, you'll see, it's not the smokes at all but just that you are getting some nice, relaxing deep breathing going on. But back to EFT: Keep doing what you're doing, and you'll get the results you seek.
