Guest guest
Please don't stress too much about the sequence of points for tapping ... Just tap the lot, every time, and go back and re-tap some of them if you 'feel' the need to, or if you had a stronger reaction while tapping any particular point. And don't stress if you forget a point or two the first few times. There is no right or wrong way to do it ... Whatever works for you is fine. The whole basis of EFT is that you overkill the problem by tapping on every point, every time, whether you need to or not. The technique Craig learned prior to developing EFT concentrated on learning which points to tap on for specific problems, and it was way too difficult to remember, way too hard for us ordinary people to use. So just relax and enjoy it. Because of the life changing transition you are going through right now, now is the time to start setting up some routines and patterns of behaviour that will stand you in good stead for the future. You need to create your own private space, somewhere where you can go and be private. You also need to allow your wife the same privilege - she's used to having the whole house as her private space, so she will also need somewhere she can go for privacy. In the meantime, you can tap on any of the following, just to calm you down in the present, so you can get yourself started, without panicking any more than necessary... " Even though I am overwhelmed by everything at the moment, I choose to accept myself as I am today. " " Even though I feel I can't cope with all the chaos in my life right now, I choose to remain calm in the midst of the storm, and to deeply and truly accept myself. " " Even though I don't know who I am any more, I choose to create a new me in as painless a manner as possible, and I deeply and truly accept myself as I am right now. " Hope this helps Vivienne Ps if you can't create your own space today, try the bathroom for this first few rounds! or do it while your wife is in the kitchen. Guest guest
Dear Vivienne, Yesterday I just tapped on the sore spot and repeated the phrases several times. Last night I slept much better, getting six hours without waking up numerous times, and for me, that is exceptional. I know I need to find some private space somewhere, as we have four people living in this house and each on a different wake/sleep schedule. I will get more practice as I go along. Also, when I go to bed I often listen to meditation tapes or subliminal messages tapes. Sometimes I go to sleep long before the tape is over, and sometimes they don't get me to sleep at all. Thanks for your concerns and help.
