car seats

Hi All,

Thought I'd add my 2 cents about car seats .... Last

week I bought a seat for my husband's car. I have a

Britax but didn't really want to spend that much for

another one. While checking things out, I discovered

a booster seat that goes from 20 - 80 pounds. I

thought this was a great idea. The catch is, it's

only forward facing. I'm pleased so far!

A booster seat for 20 lbs...thats cool!

When my son was 3 was when he got his first booster seat because back

then I was told and had read that booster seats shouldn't be used

until after 2 years old - we waited till he was 3 because we couldn't

afford a good booster at the time. I am pleased to hear that they

can be used at 20 pounds now. Thank you

What you do is remove the harness once they are 40

pounds and then use the seat belt.

  • 6 years later...

I know there was a link a little while back about car seats. I know

my sister-in-law has Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat found at

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2401317. She

really likes it...she actually has 4 as she has 4 little ones

(oldest 5).

I'm not sure how that is different or the same from what you are

looking at but may be worth looking into.

It is supposed to be usable for children 5 lbs all the way up to 80

lbs. From what I've read it converts from a car seat to a booster

seat. I want to be able to find a car seat that I can use for a

long time, since I have to buy them 2 at a time. Any recommendations

on what type of care seat is good?

And after you go to babies R us, buy somewhere else that you can find

it cheaper. lol.

We have a Britax Marathon and love it. It goes up to 65 lbs. My

daughter has used it since she was 5 mo old.

well with her band - we took out the pillow and put puffy covers on

the straps for her torticollis.

> Take your babies to babies r us and have them sit in ALL of them -

also try them IN your car - if you have a smaller car then it might be

harder to get one of the bigger seats in there - especially if you

have 2?seats to put in.? I use this in a minivan so it works well.
