Fear of Breast Biopsy

and Fear of Cancer

Just wanted to share a lovely case-history about a woman, whom I'll call

, whom I met some months ago, who was scared of having a breast biopsy

to see if she had cancer or not. She had asked her doctor to postpone her

surgery till she was ready. She had had him postpone it from June of last

year to January 2005 - six whole months - yikes!!!!

She called me up on Monday Jan 10th and told me the surgery was on Thursday

Jan 13th. Panicked and worried-sick, she called me for help. I wanted to

use the easiest EP method possible. As her first language was Spanish and

my skills at translating into Spanish did not go as far as to translate

Larry Nims' BSFF 2-page instructions into Spanish!!! Lol! So I opted for

ZPP. If anyone has a Spanish translation, I'd much appreciate it.

Anyway, ZPP worked perfectly well for her!!! :-)

I worked with her barely an hour. We covered issues of her fear of her

results of the biopsy - whether they would indicate she had cancer or not;

we covered her sleeplessness - due to worry about her family - children and

husband, about the results of the biopsy - whether she had cancer or not -

and about a third thing.

We covered all the emotions as well - one by one - judgment, criticism,

blame, guilt, etc. etc. - all the ways, patterns and emotions that she felt

them.

We cleared and cleared.and in that one hour, she reported feeling so

relaxed.as she had not been before in a long, long, time. I was truly

amazed.

Her surgery is tomorrow. I am sure with her cue-word, she'll breeze through

it.

I am eagerly waiting to hear more.
