Guest guest
, My daughter was diagnosed with moderate plagio. I was surprised by the diagnosis because I thought hers would be considered mild. I bet it is a subjective dianosis based upon the doctors experience with other patients. The doctor told me he has seen worse and seen better. In her case, she has bracheocephaly where her head is flat right in the back. She has no facial abnormalities because her head is symetrically flat right in the back of the head. I would describe her head as triangular in shape. It is a little rounded in the back but not as much as it should be. I expected her to be diagnosed with a mild case because no one really noticed it because she has always had hair. She is 7 mos old now. I think it is really noticable when her hair is wet, but otherwise she looks beautiful. I decided to go ahead with the helmet therapy because I know there is something I can do about it to make it normal. I don't want her ever to feel bad or get teased about her head shape when there is something non surgical that I can do to correct it now. She should get her helmet within the next month. > To the plagio group: > > Is there anyone out there who experienced mild to moderate > plagio?
