Unexpected problems

I have a great ear doctor, who has operated on my ear twice (once to get rid of

the cholesteatoma, once for the prosthesis) and everything has been great since

I started going to him two years ago (after having ear problems my whole life).

But two weeks ago I went for a follow-up appointment (10 months after my last

surgery) and that night my ear started bothering me. It makes static noises

every time there's a loud noise or a noise directly by my ear. I called him and

he prescribed antibiotics (oral and drops!) over the phone, but nothing is

getting better.

It's just a very strange situation, I think. Too much of a coincidence. Plus the

noise is extremely annoying.

I don't know guys, I just thought I was done with all this annoying ear stuff.

Thanks for listening (reading).
